Avoid the city if you can...

I'm away to a private airbnb at the weekend. Two roomed place by its own small lake 400m up a lane past the main house. €35/night. Donegal. There's plenty of places like that around the country. Hotels would be my last resort even after my tent

That is fucking desperate. When we started on this site we were spending a bomb on hotels .

Realised we could move to asia and for €10 we get a far nicer room for some divilment!

When we booked through Airbnb we paid the full amount on booking. Some places offer full refund if cancelled a week prior to dates booked.

I got entire 2 bedroom apartment in Dublin 4 on the 25th to 27th May for 250e. Amazing to think one night in Dublin that weekend was 380 to 500 euro just because the rugby was on. Cannot recommend enough. Full apartment all to myself on a rugby weekend I cannot wait

As for the tent, I don't think I'd go for the thrill of fun camping in Stephen's Green, to much publicity involved but also I love a bit of comfort.
