So... Is it a guilty pleasure, a not so guilty pleasure or something to avoid like the plague.

Must say I've gone from the first to the second, can be great fun to drink to with mates!

I used to love it. A couple of times I graded each song before the votes and picked the winner. My talents and tolerance for the show dropped then as Ireland sent worse and worse acts. Remember the German girl Chelsea lena that sang satellite but with a weird almost English accent? I was in love with her haha

It's like a religion in my house every year, look forward too it, I even attended one Eurovision years ago in millstreet, the atmosphere was great, Niamh kavanagh one it that year, in your eyes was the song if I remember, roll on tonight's one, hope Ireland do well.

Lost all interest and was embarrassed when we sent over a Turkey to sing for Ireland.

That was sad for a country with the best record in it.

Used to think it was fun enough when they marked on singing, music, and performance.

Now its just people latching onto popular movements, and making popular political statements.

I'm genuinely surprised Irelands entry isnt a woman having an abortion on stage while singing about womens rights. Thats the level the eurovision is at now.

Like I said earlier, song attached to a popular movement won.
