I decided to ask this after reading the recent thread on true crime podcasts. What's everyone listening to, and what do you recommend? My favourites are:

The Magnus Archives, Archive 81, Down Below The Reservoir, Limetown (fiction/horror)

The Mysterious Secrets of Uncle Bertie's Botanarium (fiction/comedy)

My Dad Wrote A Porno (comedy)

Casefile/Serial Season 1 (true crime)

The Sexual Dark Age (tips and advice for BDSM, swinging, polyamory, etc)

Dan Carlin's Hard-core History (historical fact)

I highly recommend all of those! Any suggestions for me?

True crime guys. My favourite murder. Those conspiracy guys. Thinking sideways. The higherside chats. Cracked. Stuff they don't want you to know.

Joe Rogan has some great guests on (Really varied. Comedians, scientists, lots of psuedoscientists, fighters etc).

Used to enjoy London Reals podcasts (the one where Nic describes his ayahuasca experience is really interesting).

North Circular Road

Love The Magnus Archives! Wasn't crazy about Limetown but if a second season ever shows up I'll keep listening.

Other gooduns:

Homecoming (fiction)

Welcome to Night Vale (fiction)

Dirty John (the best true crime podcast I've come across so far)

You Must Remember This (the secrets and forgotten histories of Hollywood's first century, awesome stuff if you're into that)

Reply All

Stuff You Should Know

And obviously, My Dad Wrote a Porno. I actually had the honour of driving through Rocky Flintstone's hometown last week. You could practically smell the pomegranates in the air.

My podcast addiction is basically out of control at this point. Send help. Or just send more podcast recommendations.

Rogans chats with other guests who have experienced ayahuasca are absolutely fascinating. One female journalist in particular was captivating in her description of the journey

I didn't like S-town... I found it very invasive. Same with Finding Richard Simmons!

I've never come across anyone else who listened to The Magnus Archives! I keep pushing it on people but no-one's tried it yet. That episode with the thing that froze when you hid under your blanket... scariest thing I've ever heard

I used to LOVE The Black Tapes but what the hell was up with that ending??

My favourite hard-core history one was the one about the cult in middle ages Germany, the really hard line Calvinists? Completely insane. I'm half way through the Celtic Holocaust one now.

Listened to some of the Celtic holocaust it was amazing, just reminded me to finish it. I have an awful habit of listening to bits and not finishing them.

Yep,Siren Narnia. Probably the best one out there for me though the last couple of episodes have been hit and miss.

Quite liking Cults at the moment. And the Pistol Shrimps Radio. Spontaneanation and How Did This Get Made are great fun

Youghal

Jockopodcast - Ex-US Navy Seal. He can be a bit intense but Mr is ex-mil so loves him.

Martyrmade is a great series.

S-Town.

All very serious but great for long car journeys.

For lighter but still educational content we listen to the Infinate Monkey Cage.

Blank cheque is fun one about movies by directors and there careers. Quite funny.

Inside of you with Michael rosenbaum because the gets some cool guests. His Henry Winkler episode is great asking did women ever ask him to stick his thumbs in odd places and say aaaayyyy.

The watch for TV related news.

Joe Rogan can be good sometimes.

Jordan Peterson is a fascinating guy.

How did this get made is hilarious. Listen to that ppl
