PSA: Today was the last day to register to vote in the referendum

Would have posted this thread earlier if I'd realised, hope everyone got themselves sorted if they hadn't already

I was tasked with delivering several applications to be included in the supplementary register today and having reached the head dept of my local council offices I was told at 3 p m that they were not accepting any more applicants , and that I would have to drive to wood quay in rush hour traffic to try hand in the applications there , I met several people in the foyer attempting to do the same as me , deliver the paperwork by 5 pm and all of them were refused , so that’s maybe 10 recently turned 18 yr olds who’s won’t be able to vote ! Not good enough Dublin city council ! You’d think they didn’t want people to vote

Oof. Not the first story I've heard along those lines today unfortunately.

And I can't really bring myself to judge them for leaving it so late. They're 18. Even getting out of bed in the morning is an accomplishment.
