No it’s not ignorant people have a preference and women get multiple messages a day simply don’t have the time to answer every single one then when you do reply to politely say you’re not interested you get abuse or they become more insistent. So it’s easier to delete

I can only imagine the amount of mail women get. I set up a fake female profile once (not on Fab) just to see what it was like. Within 24 hours there were over 200 messages. If even taking one minute to reply to each would be over 3 hours. I simply deleted the account.

So, don't be surprised that no one answers!

I rarely send a first message for this very reason.

When it happened to me I just blocked so applying the fab rule of not interested. They wouldn't miss my profile as they're not interested and secondly it saved me the embarrassment of sending another message another time only to get a fab message reminding me they didn't reply as not interested.

I just figure if they are interested they they will message. If they don't I'll never know either.

For a few years I've suggested to fab that they should have a 48hr restricted access to new ladies profiles. This would give them time to get filters in place and get themselves adjusted to fab. It would also reduce a lot of the fake profiles that pop up on infinitum too.

Its impossible to say " no thanks to every msg! Believe me i have and many replies are " why not ur a slut! ...so i just delete! Off course theres decent guys on here but the nasty ones have made it so i honestly do not wish to reply back with no thanks!

Disagree with women being ignorant. Like someone already said it is personal preference, everyone has a type and they are more than entitled to have it

And 2nd thing, I've tried being nice and replying nicely with a "thanks but no thanks" and I've lost count of how times that has resulted in me getting a message of abuse back. So sometimes life is just easier to read and delete

Don't see the issue with no replys. May imply mean folk are not interested in you. Happens to us often enough, so we eventually just block the profile so we don't mail again and annoy them.

Guess the best way to view it is a no reply is a reply in itself.

People take things to personally these days. A women getting hundreds of mails a day can hardly be polite to all and more than likely block deletes messages. It happens all us men just put it down to shit profile or shit message and move on. Your not that special that every women has to reply.

I've only ever checked Read status if it was an ongoing conversation and they haven't replied quickly. Then checked if they have been interrupted.

If it's a one off message, I don't bother. If they reply, Wahey! If they don't, no love lost.

OP it’s just not worth getting bothered about this sort of stuff. It happens and it will continue to happen so let it go.

For a while after I joined I used to get annoyed at it but eventually just accepted it. I’ve sent so many friendly and polite messages that got no reply and at times I’ve thought about changing my approach but to what? Just sending a cock pic and the words ‘fancy a fuck’ isn’t me. And I’m not saying that just because a lot of women complain about that approach, I’m saying it because it’s just not me.

And, as is always pointed out in these type of threads, maybe if you were a woman getting all these messages you simply wouldn’t have the time to respond to all the nice ones. You really do have to try and imagine yourself in that situation. Would you honestly reply to all those messages every single day? I doubt I would myself!
