" The rates of throat and neck cancers have soared recently in young men due to the fact we live a more promiscious lifestyle multiple sexual partners performing oral sex on women infected with a certain strain of hpv that attacks the soft tissue in the back of the throat..as if we dont have enough to worry about in life we cant even eat pussy in peace no more " What a insensitive way to word that! Where are these statistics you are quoting? It's only recently been linked to HPV virus so all the studies and stats are recent. HPV and promiscuity is not recent. The majority of people have had it at some stage and probably been unaware of it due to lack of symptoms and the fact that it can lay dormant in your system so it's impossible to track back. Rather than try to scare monger or lament the inconvenience it is for you, you could promote getting checked regularly as this is the only way to detect it.

" There is no test for hpv..it cant be detected in blood samples..unless every sexually active male takes a swap of cells from the back of his throat and has it analysed this is the only way to test for it and the last time i got tested i had a urine and blood sample taken for all common stis ..This will not detect any strain of hpv..The danger here is you only find out you have this cancer when its too late and smokers are more susceptible to it https://www.irishtimes.com/life-and-style/health-family/a-doctor-writes-we-need-to-talk-about-oral-sex-and-cancer-1.3274775

" Thats true even if youve only ever had 1 sexual partner you can become infected with these strains of hpv if your partner is a carrier themselves but having multiple sexual partners increases the risk of catching these strains of hpv

I wasn't for a second suggesting that you only get it due to promiscuity as I stated most people will have it in their lifetime.

If a smear or a swab can detect something and prevent it from occuring. Do it. HPV is not treatable but rectifies itself usually and men usually clear it out of their system quicker than women. Women alone are not responsible for the spread of HPV.

And any time I attend a gum clinic they take a throat swab, admittedly not for hpv as far as I'm aware, but it's possible to have a swab test done. I've never had a urine test done at a gum clinic, is that only for men?
