Has anyone else seen on a famous porn site in a certain section where a movie of a woman is posted who obviously wasn't aware she was been filmed . It goes on to name her and her place of employment and photos from her Facebook profile.

I barely find words for such behaviour and I hope there are dire consequences for those who did that. How low is that!

To publicly display a porn vid all participating individuals need to sign a model release form for the content to be legally released for profit or not. Don't ask how I know that lol

You should flag it up to the porn site admin...some sites get so many uploads they cant police them properly...

I’d happily hoof the gooter outta them. Some sick fucks out there. To have that little regard for others that you think it’s fine to damage another persons life. I’d do time for the fucker.

I am not sure how you have all got the present legal situation on this topic basically wrong really .

In May 2017 Minister Fitzgerald had plans to legislate to make stalking, including cyberstalking, and revenge porn criminal offences.

She has yet to pass a bill . There is currently no legislation to address revenge porn in Ireland. .

The Labour party published a bill for review on revenge porn in January this year since the Government had yet to act. No bill has currently passed into law as yet.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar told the Dáil in January that he is not opposed to the idea of legislation on this topic , but acknowledged that policing the internet has its difficulties.

Thats the reality of it, seems like Fake News works since so many of you are convinced that Irish law exists to cover this problem . (Yes they have had their first case in the six counties before some body points that out as being Irish law )

Thanks for that.

Sounds like something people should be more vocal about. People commit suicide over this stuff.

Let's be honest here. It cannot be policed or governed when you can upload videos to a forgein site through Thor Browser . So at the end of the day its impossible to control .

Thanks for that, I was pretty sure there wasn't a law around it yet.

Whilst the curious part of me also wants to know, the socially responsible part of me says no. Why add another viewer to someone else's personal trauma. I'll stay ignorant and not part of the problem thanks.
