Foreign foe or one of us?

I live and work in England and even sound like one but my entire family is Irish. I am over on Sunday for another lengthy stay. I come over for at 3-4 months a year.

There really is a deffinate lighting of the mood why I say I am in fact Irish. Is it an English thing ladies or more not wanting to be a holiday thing?
