Anybody have tips on where is good to get a good bed? Just bought my first home and now I’ve to furnish it! Any tips on what’s good value or places that maybe you’ve been to and you’d recommend? Thanks x

belfast

Google see if there is a factory shop near you. They are a lot cheaper and very good quality. I got my matress from one and it's top quality and cost a third of what similar matresses cost in big brand stores.

"I buy my beds in ikea mattresses are of very good quality for the price and a huge selection"

This.

Bought our bed in IKEA and 10yrs on, it's still as solid and firm as the day we bought it (probably why I'm here )

Looked in Harvey Norman but prices for what they had were very high.

Got IKEA top bed for less than €900, compared to €3k for similar spec in Harvey Norman.

Regardless of being on Fab or not ...

"Spend as much as you can on a quality bed and mattress"

I decided before that because I spent 30 minutes in my car and 7 hours in my bed each day that a good nights sleep was worth a good investment... and it was

There's always a sale on so do shop around

Top Tip: buy the biggest one that will suit your size of room. When choosing between a standard double or a king size a few years back, i went for bigger and never looked back. Moral of the story - size matters

Yes good tip but buying bedding for a super kingsize bed is a pain in the ass. Washing and ironing same is worse...
