"Many people have to be saved from themselves all the time in many different ways " Agreed. And I hope they get actual help instead of a bed for a couple nights and then fucked back out on the street once the snow melts. But I doubt that will happen. They always fall through the cracks. Why didn't anyone want to save these people last week? They were just as sick then and they will be just as sick when the snow melts next week and everyone stops talking about them.

"So you people would be fine if they sectioned you indefinitely for driving in the snow? Or is it one rule for the homeless people and another for us?" Are you serious??? Are you that argumentive that you even think this?? They are homeless and they'll fucking die out in that weather. The means justify the end.

" It was only -1 it was colder in winter, and more dangerous winds in the hurricane. So you agree, people with homes should be allowed to freely risk their lives and homeless people shouldn't? After all 2 people in the UK died by driving.

"The help is always there for them and a lot of people refuse to take it...Last night extreme action had to be taken..I don't understand how you can't see this" yes! One of my cats didnt come home after I let her out last night and I'm really worried about her and she's just a cat

What if they have severe mental health issues.(live in a different reality etc Can't tell what's going on?? . Do we just leave them to die? It would be a different situition now if we didn't have the death threatening situation.

"Hi guys....I'm a mental health professional....the Mental Health Act is very clear...a person can only be detained involuntarily in there is the presence of mental illness post assessment by a psychiatrist...the point I'm making is I'm certain what was on last night's news was only half the story...cheers"

"I'd like if people ignored my post as I didn't know I was seen as argumentative and would like to not partake in the discussion anymore. I accept that sleeping outside on one of the milder nights of the year is more insane than driving in snow. Thanks." Sleep out in it and then tell me how mild it was!

"I think people have the right to personal choice and shouldn’t have to explain their reasons. Many people who have lived outside for long periods struggle to cope with being indoors. Surely enforcing enforcing such a thing is an assault on a persons mental well-being. Some people cannot cope with the volume of people on emergency accommodation where there is literally no personal space. Can you imagine if you were afraid of dogs and were told you must spend the weekend in a room with 20 dogs, it’s for your own safety and welfare. It’s a phobia not a mental state. If the government wants to do right by these people then supply them with the equipment needed to be comfortable outside in the cold. Dontbthe army have lots of it. I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t call off an operation because it’s too cold " They were offered clothing, blankets, hot water bottles and other stuff to protect them but they refused them. That's why reluctantly they were sectioned. Good call imo or they would die for sure.

"I was up in dublin last Saturday night..I couldnt believe the amount of homeless people I seen.. while 1 half of us were drinking and eatin to excess, these poor souls were fighting to survive in the cold.. 1 young lady was shaking so badly with the cold, I gave her my coat and got her a hot drink and a sambo.. Even in such a sad situation, Ill always remember her smile and words of thanks.. It saddened my heart to see people , fellow humans living in such poverty in our capital city.. If bringing them inside last night saved 1 life , then of course its a good thing.. "

"I've just seen a news item on RTE saying that rough sleepers who refused emergency accommodations last night were sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Common sense prevailing or an infringement of civil rights? Discuss..... " A blatant infringement of civil rights ,also an abuse of power abusing the mental health acts to basically lock up anyone they like or anyone that stands up against the government and powers at be .Yet again the N.W.O is emerging faster on this Island than anywhere else in the world . Its now the testing ground for every new trick they are trying to force apon us . Harry

It was extraordinary circumstances, nobody civil rights were abused for standing up to the government, they had to get the homeless people in off the streets.. end of. No conspiracy, nothing!

"I don't think anyone should be forced to do anything. I think it should be offered and readily available, but never forced. And at all times, not just when it's cold and will make the government look bad for not giving a shit. The government didn't give a shit that some, perhaps many, homeless or rough sleepers had mental health problems last week. Most walk by these people everyday and aren't bothered or don't give a second thought. But when they have to hear about them freezing to death in the news they get all excited and want something done. Wait until the snow melts and they will be forgotten again. Sad but true." very sensible reply

Harry" No harm to you Ginger are you one of these people that believe Oswald acted alone ,they actually sent a man to the moon ,the Japs really did sneak up on the American fleet at pearl Harbour ,and a group of Islamic radicals armed only with box cutters flew into the twin towers knocked them down to the ground into there own footprint at free fall speed , ohh and lets not forget building WTC 7 that collapsed with nothing hitting it at all,a photo copier over heated and the subsequent fire knock it down I presume ??? Tiny group of people /elite running the world, sorry lads and ladies its time to wake up,or enjoy youre slumber. Harry

"I think they are 100% right to do this. The public “outrage” would be phenomenal if they had to report “rough sleepers die overnight” If someone can’t see how dangerous that weather is/was they need to be taken in. I have the utmost respect for the volunteers that help these people all year round. " Two homeless people already have died sleeping rough ,last year one a stones throw from government buildings the other poor unfortunate streets away. This is only country in the western world where a homeless person has died almost outside its government buildings .
