So I get a mail to meet say no thank u he then comes back with ok and my real name I don't recognise his pic cos he has only a chest pic so what were motives here if he knew who I was .isn't that abit worrying like ot am I over thinking it

I've had that happen and it's horrible. I don't care what anyone says, there's an implied threat in there, that if you don't meet him he'll out you. He most likely won't, but only you know if it's a threat you need to take on board or not.

Any idea how he knows your real name.

Not you in mine but funny how many people use site like this and give out Kik emails or something then people end up googling you and finding out every thing about you. I always tell people on emails and Kik use something that can't be traced back to you. I've chatted to people and they've giving me named emails and kik where you can see their real name on. Let that be a warning to us all. If use site like this use made up email and Kik and keep your name of it until you really really know someone. All you have do do is refer to Ashley mad and see what happens their.

Kind of had this happen to me ages ago, local mails I'm kind of not really interested as I notice he's local..than he says some personal stuff. If I wanted to find out who it was I would of had to meet him cause he knew my family member and friends.

Tell them that if it is them, they should meet you in a local coffee shop, outside table, preferably one where you can specify the table. Tell them to be wearing something visible of a certain colour.

Then go there, out of sight. Take a pic of them. Send a screenshot of the message where you told them to be in a specific place, at a specific time, wearing a specific colour, along with the pic of them doing exactly as you asked. Then ask them if they'd like you to send both of these pics to their wife/GF/Gardai?

I think that might stop the wanker in their tracks. Changes who has the power and information considerably

95% of these pricks would crap themselves if you did that.

Yes, there's 5% you would have to worry about but I guess it is a judgement call for you as to which they are. If you go to take pic and know that the guy is married, I'd say that goes up to 99% too.

When you're dealing with a narcissist they have their cover story sorted. Before you even know you're a target and they don't stop. Best not to engage. It's the reaction they want.

I had a message yesterday with my real name in it and a guy telling me that he'd love to do to me! I bloody hate that! He then said he knows me through a friend and fancies me but he's attached so he know's I won't meet him. The thought that he knows who I am and I don't know who he is really pissed me off and unnerved me to the point I nearly left because I didn't want him perving on me

To be honest I didn't block him til I knew his identity as someoen local simply blocking him here wouldn't mean much to someone who can walk upto me in public I now know who to watch out for and I think my physical safety is more important then my online security

I don't mean this bad by any means but you did have face pictures on public awhile back one even hot into hotpics if I remember correctly. Posting a face pic is very brave of you but in fairness you can't really complain then when someone's says 'hay I know you'

Now if he was trying to Forse you into a meet that's not on and you where right to be worried

But we have to take responsibility for our own actions . Now if I have it wrong about your profile and you did not have face pics on public ill apologise and take it all back

It's not that he said he knew me it was he asked for a meet and when I said no he kinda threw my name into the conversation I've no problem people knowing me I'm a single woman so nothing to hide and if he said he knew me in the start it been no issue at all it was just very underhanded the way he done it but I know who he is now so I'll be wary of him I've never had face pics in hot pics I do sometimes have one up but I take full responsibility for that I never leave them up long enough to hit hot pics lol

Completely agree with all of this. Kik is so popular because it’s anonymous so there’s no need whatsoever for anyone to use their real name on it. Same goes for email.

Hope you can move on from this OP. Pricks like that make my blood boil...

You knocked the guy back and his ego took a bruising. Throwing your name out there was a feeble attempt to claw back a shred of masculinity. Personally I’d show more pity than worry. Forget and move on op.
