I used to think winks were a useful tool to subtly let someone know you are interested in them and maybe naively presumed that if they had a similar interest back then they could wink back which would lead to a message but I’m not sure it’s a very successful plan. Thoughts on it lady’s and gentlemen?

Rarely if ever do I look at winks. With the ratio of men to women on here being what it is, the wink from male to female is so subtle it's probably useless. Just my opinion.

I bulk delete winks on a weekly basis - unless yours happens to be at the top of the list when I click on winks received to clear it down... I'll probably never be aware that you winked at me.

Same goes for random friend requests.... I'm not one of those sad desperadoes who will friend anyone who asks in the hope that they'll gain a few extra Fabs for their latest selfie.... I only accept friend requests from people I've actually met and like or intend to meet in the near future... Bitch ain't I??

As do I! I think it's nice to be nice. I will admit to deleting hi, or what's up type messages but all others I do try to respond to.

I don't have any filters set up to stop anyone from contacting me. I'm perfectly happy to chat to anyone. I chat to couples, women, TV/TS and people both above and below my age preference. I may not meet them ever, but it's always nice to make new friends.

I like receiving either but I very rarely send winks, for the reasons set out by the women and couples above - they receive so many that they may not see them and it doesn't really make the sender stand out from the crowd the way that a message might.

Winking works for me, most women check their winks. They just don't want abuse from guys complaining their wink was ignored, so they say they dont see them.

But Im pretty sure most check, but its mostly a quick glance down the list, and if they recognise you from the chat or forum you might get a wink back, if they don't recognise your pic, they probably wont even click on your profile.

I hope that makes sense to you padawan.

We very rarely reply to winks, maybe an odd one will catch our eye.

We don't accept random friend requests, we don't block delete them either as they can request again and again unless you block their profile.

Just keep trying! But don't be too disappointed about the winks, as you can see many women don't pay any attention to them and maybe those are the ones you've winked at. Good luck!
