There was a young woman from Monaghan on First Dates Ireland last week, and I'd say hers was quite possibly the worst accent I've ever heard. But as I always say on these accent threads, you could probably go ten miles up the road and the accent would be totally different. So, if I knew where that lovely young woman was from exactly, then I'd say that was the worst, not all of Monaghan.

I've barely travelled Ireland, most accents seem the same to me besides a few words. Obviously Dublin and Northern accents are alot different to the munster ones but the big town and cities if munster the accents don't seem hugely different. What the say is different ha. Country accents in any county seem tough to decipher. Worse accent for me being from limerick is..... Limerick but I feel we actually sound really genuine when we speak haha

Haha I dunno I think limerick people blurt out what they're thinking alot and sometimes when you're afraid to ask a question in a group another limerick person usually starts asking haha. When two limerick people are arguing or one is really angry and shouting then it's probably the worst accent to be heard though haha

Have to agree with Longford and D4. Always makes me think Mucksavage and Wanker respectively. What really gets me riled though is the people from outside D4 that cultivate that accent. Now that's an unadulterated Wanker.

Never checked that

I'm probably over them but I'd advise you to adjust downwards to include Jay, rather than upwards to include me. I think you'll fare better

I strongly believe in Fab being free and Fabbing activities being even freer (is that a word?)

No participants have received gratuities of any kind in the production of this thread, though two of them may be grinning like Cheshire cats next week, with no monies having been exchanged, just good Fab style interaction (not me, as it would be wrong to post about self indulgence!)

"Have to agree with Longford and D4. Always makes me think Mucksavage and Wanker respectively. What really gets me riled though is the people from outside D4 that cultivate that accent. Now that's an unadulterated Wanker.

Oddly I've never heard anyone cultivating a Longford accent "

Why would you agree with the D4 opinion
