Verifications

I see verification as a confirmation, from another comfirmed user, that I or the other person is genuine. That's a fairly simple concept. It seems though, that that has evolved into various in depth descriptions of meets and the obligatory "what fab is all about." There also seems to be a shed load of multiple verifications. I'm starting to wonder if the process needs to be amended. Verification, for example, can only be made once between two users. Verification could also be done in stages. For example 100% verification attained once verified genuine by four different users. 25% for one verification, 50% for two and 75% for three. Once verified four times, you are 100% verified. You get a 100% verification on your profile. To keep the whole verification process up to date. Verifications can last a maximum of 6 months, then after that they will drop off. So verifications have a standby date. Just a thought while i'm bored in work. What do you think?

It kind of makes sense, but I quite like a couple of repeat veris, it shows that what you said in the first one is most likely true.

Repeat verifications do say a lot.

Also op your % scale would require different dated verification as one social would cover that. How and where does the coffee meet feature. I have so many questions

Yeah verifications would be dated as they are now. After 6 months they would disappear off the profile. It could be a year, 6 months is just a suggestion. The other thing i'd like to add, it may tie in with the multiples. Verification is to confirm a user is genuine. So personally i don't see multiple veri's as any use, other than to massage ego's. Verification should be a simple function. Maybe if they addeda seperate option of leaving a 'Meet Review' lol that may be interesting

Hmm, sounds suspiciously like a fuck quota which has to be maintained to be considered a "real swinger"....

Maybe yearly instead of every 6 months. I know what you mean but like anything else. Reviews need to be kept up to date and current.

I see no harm in multiples and as someone said above it can show that someone is reliable or worth meeting again.

I certainly don’t believe verifications should “disappear”

I also believe that in order to show a “meet” verification the user should be photo verified to reduce the number of fake verifications being left.

I do believe that something should be done to highlight negative experiences either via no show or a poor experience such as someone turning up to a meet d*unk. How that would be fairly policed and not abused is beyond my brain at this point in the day though

Technically they don't. I'm as real now as I was six months ago, whether I've met anybody since then or not. (I have, repeatedly )

How does that work, we are not photo verified

Louth

Liking the percentage idea, restricts people verifying themselves too.

Not sure about the veris dropping off though. Our meets are few and far between in reality so that would leave us as newbies almost every time we did actively look for a meet which would probably put people off..

Why? I'm sure I'll still be able to "suck like a dyson" in a couple of years.

This isn't the first time you've raised this. I'm wonder what your real thinking behind it is?

If it was meant to be as simple as you suggested then fab would have used simply a tick box to confirm. However veris can give a lot of different information about someone. Consistency, regular repeat type or just one off type of person, are the articulate, imaginative, creative in bed or not, what type of person do they go for etc etc. I see veris as more objective than the self written subjective profile and the veris can confirm how objective a profile is written. Some don't see veris like this but that's their choice. It's a tool to be used and as any filtering it's used in different ways by everyone.

It shouldn’t have to be needed and obviously well verified users such as yourselves have no need, but I believe there are a large number of fake profiles (both male and female) that have a single meet veri either from the users real profile or from a fella who’s given a false one in the hope he would get “the ride”

Not sure what you're on about and my reasoning behind this thread! It was just simply boredom and faffing about on Fab. They are only ideas. Just another thread topic.
