It is bloody serious when you are fit and healthy and you get it. I had it and you wouldn’t wish it on anyone

It is bloody serious when you are fit and healthy and you get it. I had it and you wouldn’t wish it on anyone

I had it when younger but got through it. just asking how serious it is in an elderly person.

I'm a carer for my mom, and I make sure she gets regular checkups, and got the flu injection both of us, to prevent anything more serious happening too her, as she can pick up infections easily. My friend on the other hand. Nearly died,of pneumonia, they were practically telling us he didn't have a chance, and called his parents home from his country. So thankfully his fine again, and getting on with life.nice too have him around, as his like a brother too me.

Elderly are always in the high risk category. Depending on their medical history they may need to be treated at an acute hospital with IV antibiotics etc
