Are verfies that important....

Do people find the need to have loads of viefies on there profile...you can meet the one person over and over again and never need to leave a verfie even tho they only have one or two...others ye meet for a few mins for a chat and it's the first thing they ask when leaving even though they might have 20 plus....

I've found that verifications are for the most part "embellished" to say the least, a recent meet I had has many veris lauding "amazing skills" and glorifying the persons "amazing body" I must have missed the memo on what constitutes amazing these days but it was false advertising in my opinion. That in part is why I don't pass much heed on veris. (not a dig at my meet,my meet did not type up their own veris)

Actually I’d prefer not to have them and like people who may have them but don’t feel the need to display them.

On the other hand I get the sense that for couples it is very important given the tendency of men to pretend they are a couple and the female half has no idea or there is no female half.

I tend to not pay much attention to the content of a veri. As was said earlier. They tend to be exaggerated. I take them more as a sign of reliability and general feel for the kind of person they are. That’s why I like to see more than one.

They have thier good points and bad. Yes they give you an idea that a person is real and genuine but if you find someone with hundreds and all one day after the other it also give you an indication of how active they are. The choice is yours at the end of the day how you take them. Also bear in mind a lot of verifications are web cam. To me these don’t wash with me.

I don't go on veries. I'm verified but not by everyone I've met on here. Some have sent veries I don't show them , not because I don't want to, it's because I dont feel the need to. Most of them are repetitive and a lot are down right off putting. They are not always checked to see if you're reliable , but to see who you've been with.

Ah sure now...

The content is irrelevant really, people embellish etc for their own reasons.. But the fact you have them is I think important. It shows that another real life person has met you and is saying you are real and normal. And I think thats the main purpose of them. Maybe a system whereby you can verify without adding a comment? That way someone looking can see someone else has met you, confirms the pics agree, and that you are genuine...and 'my comments are irrelevant, meet them if you want and make up your own mind'.

We would be big enough fans of the verification system on fab. We find we can get a good idea of a profile if you read between the lines in their verifications.

Also love getting sucked into a verification worm hole, reading the verifcation's of the people who left the original verifcation and so on

That's why I think it's a good system - If you had an average meet, it would read average and so implying between the lines!!

Flip side, if they all read great from different people, then the continuity reveals consistency in the candidate

I know some Fabber's use or display some poetic licence on their verifications (not me of course though ...) but having many veri's from different people can indicate that you're sociable, dependable semi-sane and that, yes you actually show up...

I don't verify for coffee meets myself as this is a site for swinging and not a coffee connoisseur get-together, but do laugh reading coffee veri's trying to be passed off as a full sex meet. Priceless!!

normally that may be the case in the real world but in fabland that does not always ring true,in my earlier post I mentioned one such meet who if veris were to be believed said person had and I quote "a seriously tight body" "fantastic body" "firm and fit body" well unless the body changed dramatically in around 96 hours then porkies are being told in at least some of the veris

I think for some if they have very good (over the top, sometimes) veris, they feel its getting them inside the door, only to really set them up for disappointment as expectations may be too high for the person or couple they are meeting.

Still some veris are better than no veris

I made the point many times and again only yesterday that they have options to basically rate people like a human Yelp or Uber review which are always nonsense, i've yet to see one with the slightest bit of criticism in it.

Also, if they're going to have that facility then there should be a way for woman to warn other women of a potentially dangerous man/predator and yet there's not. It's only a matter off time before Fab becomes the name associated with people meeting for nsa fun when someone unfortunately turns up dead in a hotel somewhere. Women (and men) should have an option to warn others of dangerous people because as much as it's fun there is a dark side.

We do find veris important , as it is says they are real, just a few are fine , but i do think there should be an option when verifying someone that the was either a cam veri , meet veri or a SOCIAL veri ,lol, and it would come up on the summary, we have over 200 plus on ours and had to remove the summary as it makes us look like we played with so many lol nd puts people off from contacting us, but most are from socials , parties and M&G's, it would just make it easier,

Reading through the thread everyone has a different angle how they use/interpret them. However the bottom line is they have their purpose, in general to make meeting a bit easier and safer and to make sure party invites are not wasted. We all know the system has its flaws, it can be corrupted and they're no guarantee. Always keep that in mind and stay safe!

They are useful to show if there's a consistency. I use it to see if they are a repeat regular type or one off and fuck off type (I'm aware some don't display more than one per person but they could and it would be helpful). Some say verisimilitude are just to prove you're who you are and that you turned up. If that was just the case then a simple automated tick box would be used to verify. As has been said it's used by many for different purposes. Some to see who they've met. I gloss over those who are secretive about it as it may indicate being secretive about other things....not always the case but as is said on here by most - look after yourself and keep yourself safe and verifications are a way of helping towards that too.

Once you get a couple of veris from actually meeting, I suppose they become less important. I don't like graphic ones and wouldn't display one if I got one. I've got a few repeat ones and while some people might feel they're unnecessary, to me they're like an extension of the rapport and connection I've got with that other person and they make me smile when I get them and remind me of another lovely time. I also like to see what others have to say about people I've met, and if they have had as good a time as I did with them.

Sounds mostly subjective, unless one is referring to ones own veries as one knows ourselves best.

The senario above is most likely to happen with someone else of no veries or a fake verify and some extreme role play. It's why to see who someone has met and been veries by and if it's repeats can certainly help with feeling safe. One can find themselves dead driving to a fab meet too. Odds are much higher of fatality getting into ur car and driving than being found dead on a fab meet and I bet no one thought today, maybe I'll stay in bed as I could get killed driving.

Trying to put a perspective on it... That's all.

what I don’t understand is, with the lower number of users in Ireland, especially verified ones, surely you would expect the same people riding each other over and over. Hence there should be more repeat verifications.
