Border Area

There are many forum threads that seem to be repeated frequently, like:

—Kiss, fuck, avoid

—Say something nice about the person above

—Do/say/comment on X about the person above

What does everyone think of these threads and the frequency of them? Needed? Annoying? Necessary to get some craic going?

It gets a bit of flirting going amongst the members and it can be a bit of fun so I don't see the harm in them and as I mentioned before we have new people joining the site and the forums all the time so although we might see them regularly they don't

I personally find them boring, but I think they're a valuable ice breaking tool for new forum participants, so as such they're worthwhile to some people.

Often the same people who play in them. It's good for attention.

Boring to me but they're probably needed. Like anyone can just comment kiss, fuck etc....and not feel too much pressure. Plus sometimes the forums are dead.

I've never commented in for fear someone would say avoid under me hahaha but on other things where opinions are asked I usually get involved, sticking my nose in other peoples business haha

Dunboyne & Dublin

Yeah they're a bit of fun n flirting I guess, so I have to stop complaining about them.

It's the repetitive questions from different people that really irk me. Other sites forums have "stickies" which are at the top of forums, which I suggested to Admin/site improvement section before but I suppose that there is a New Members section they expect people to use for that, instead of steaming into the Ireland section to ask.

Or maybe, as it's Fab, they took up the meaning of stickies wrongly

Ah sure I suppose it's all good. Whatever keeps us chatting

Someone said before when this subject came up that its up to us members to come up with the topics on the forums. I'm just not that interesting. There's one lad that always tries to get stuff going and asking questions etc.. To be fair to him

I think there's no harm in them. Same way everytime you switch on the telly repeats of the same old familiar shows like friends or simpsons are always on.

Can just skip past them if there's something better on, but at times they serve a purpose

Its my reading material when I don't have a good book to hand so I'd never object to that lol

What harm is in them and they do serve a purpose plus they are not the showdown threads which are also repetitive.
