Hi, we are looking at hotels in Dublin. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good hotel in the city centre, close to the music/nightlife? Only for a 3 night stay in a couple of weeks time...cheers...

We've stopped using hotels in Dublin, way too expensive these days for, quite frankly, pure shite.

Unfortunately, we have to use hotels as it gets bloody cold sleeping out on the street..

And city centre hotels are what they are. Always overpriced and noisy but hey, it's only for a few days and you never know, we might get lucky and get whisked away to a sexy couple's place for some outrageous fun...

Dunboyne & Dublin

Kelly's hotel is nice. Very compact though. Not suitable for throwing a few bodies into. It's above Hogan's and beside the secret bar and can be had for€100 a night if booked in time.

Dublin or anywhere

No cheap hotels in the city centre, there all to expensive and not worth there money...then go to the local pubs and pay big prices for beer then ? hotels down at newlands cross are not expensive but then nothing happens down that way at all / /

We are looking at perhaps two or three weekends time. Thursday to Sunday probably. Possibly the 01st or 08th of February.

Cardiff

We always stay at the marker when we are in Dublin, it’s walkable to the the centre but better in a Taxi, staff are always great and they have some nice rooms in there.

Have a great time wherever you stay.

TRY following suggestions

What was the Burlington or the Mespil just over the canal on south side, you've got the Harcourt on Harcourt st, useful for late bars in Harcourt st, also O'Connells on corner of Harcourt and St Stephens Green, Jury's up by Christ Church or even the Radison up behind the castle.

1st try www.hotels.com for deals

I’d your willing to go a little outside the city and grab a taxi / luas you’ll get much better deals and save a fortune.

You’ve got

Skylon drumcondra

Louis FitzGerald hotel @ Newlands cross

Bewleys @ newlands cross

Bewleys @ ballsbridge

Thanks everyone. There are some great suggestions. We just want somewhere that's close to the nightlife/music pubs, without the need for taxis or buses. Not too bothered about the price.
