I'm here a while, havnt been posting as much of late but notice big time the forums not been the same anymore. you have a select few, know one another from socials/ meet and greets who post. spoken to a few people privately who are afraid to post for fear of ridicule or saying something wrong (personally I think this is ridiculous!). were you nervous at the beginning or did you just jump right into the forum spirit?

To be honest I know no one here. Don't go to the socials and won't as I don't want to get to know the whole site, just a few girls, one ideally. I say what I want on this site and no one has ridiculed me but if they did I'd give it back haha but the same handful of people are on every single thread but I'm not complaining, if they weren't there no one would be.

I had a woman lately tell me she thinks all single guys should attend socials to get known . very few are willing to take a chance on here in a single setting

No you're right (or she's right) but I'll never attend one. Im not the kind of person that thrives in big groups and definitely not one to speak much with new people. Being a single lad here is a battle but there's other dating sites to keep the spirits up haha

Hmmm this is a good point OP and actually thinking about it some of my post recently, while meant as light hearted jokes, I see now might fit into the kinda behaviour that you are taking about.

Now I really hope not but if it does I apologize, I never really found the forums intimidating and I dived right in as soon as I could with my old "QAD".....but I can see how someone might find it daunting and sound probably consider that when making jokes in the future.

I was on the site for over a year before I came across the forum...jumped in with both feet...I take what I want from it and leave what I don't. I'm not an observer so I tend to create my own stimulation here with interaction through threads, this is my playground, and a great way of de-stressing from everyday life.

what some people do is take forum lark to seriously. I do empathise with single men on here though because it's a mine field and even using the forums makes little difference. some sign up here thinking it's easy access to getting your willy wet and soon realise it's the very opposite

The forums are brilliant, alot of the stuff is repeated over and over like the games but still when you're a single man here the forums are usually the only place of action haha. Plus you can get to know personalities without texting people too on the forums

It would be nice if proper discussion/debate didnt descend into carnage insults and name calling half the time...i imagine the pack mentality puts a lot of people off.

Having said that, I've met and chatted with some great fabbers from the forums.

Ups and downs I guess

The secret is not to take it too seriously ,have fun with it and ignore the stuff you don't like.We jumped straight in ( meaning myself Mrs Goldie as hubby doesn't bother ).It does go through periods of being a little stale but it's up to ourselves to freshen it up with new topics.

Been here on and off, before, but was never at a social yet, kinda difficult with my situation, as I'm full time carer for my mom with dementia, so hard too plan around it sometimes. But will get too one at some stage I hope.

You mean like the “meet tomorrow Wednesday” thread below...? Illustrates perfectly why new posters should be reluctant to post. Poor guy posted something that was a little ill advised but got ripped to bits for his troubles.

Just look at the forum today....a guy posted a thread looking for a meet and it was ruined by idiots.

Another thread with others whinging about men looking for meets. Meeting is the primary aim of most members on every swingers website.

If you didn't know the craic here and how some behave you'd run a mile."

All those threads need is one person to shut it down politely and point them in the direction of the meets forum

I was here awhile before I posted. I'm very sarcastic some dont get me. When I first started posting it was a laugh everyone took it on the chin. But I've noticed lately that it's not as much fun as it use to be and unfortunately some people use it as a form of bullying. Quiet petty and not very adult. A thread earlier today was about nasty messages. Some come directly from opinions posted on the forum. I know because I've received some. So it's not just new posters that get bullied it's people like me who like a bit of banter or are sarcastic. I never bought into the white knights but I'm afraid I'm beginning to.

I really enjoy your sarcasm and wit, it would be a shame for you to change who you are here. The whole white knighting thing just strikes me as being similar to a hierarchial system, and that's not something I could buy into, the reality on public forums is you will get a cross section of the population with all our weird and wonderful experiences to share, and some quite bizarre

Thank you. When you stand back and look it's pretty pathetic. Threads are started about nasty messages people receive they are told to block and move on. I just think posters should do the same. They are adults and should be treated as same. Sooo.... suck it up buttercups

C'est moi Boudoir

Déjà vu. Nothing new, the forums are and have been full of banter and swiping since I started.

Some days are great, some are boring and some are awful.

I jumped right in from the start and still enjoy the good days on here. I know a fair amount of people through socialising which I really enjoy...still a few lovelies I have yet to bump into socially or otherwise but overall it's good. In any large group setting you will get a variety of opinions and view point's, that needn't necessarily be a negative.

on the hill NordWest of

I observed/read the forum first for a while to get the dynamics of it, before I started posting.

The forum is always a bit of an up and down, it depends on the mix of characters and of course the topics posted. Sometimes it's very repetitive and Facebook like and on other days you find interesting topics (which are sometimes unfortunately hijacked by a few with silly endless strings of nonsense, but I tend just to skip over them)

The trick is not to take it too seriously, live and let live and enjoy the colourful characters on here.
