Nope I hear you. I’m not a fan of it myself.

If I let it, it can become a big downer of a night.

Last year we were in Switzerland for it at a gala ball. That was fun and took away from the big ole Lang’s aye thing.. we won’t be singing it later but watching fireworks.

Hope you’ve a great evening, even if you’re watching tv at home.

X

Never be afraid to say you're not in the mood. Sometimes being around people who are enjoying themselves can make you feel good too, but sometimes it has the opposite effect. Don't leave yourself in the middle of a situation if it's not working for you.

I quite like the auld lang syne, it makes me think of the year that's ending and the things that I'm leaving in that year, and it also makes me dare to hope the new year will be better.

I don't like it - probably because the first time I ever went out NYE I broke my leg

Saying that, I'm off to spend this evening in the company of some fellow deviants, but I won't be impressed if any try to give me a New Years kiss. You have been warned!

Geordie, I think you are a closet Xmas and new years lover.

You can't be hating things and participating in them the whole time. Lol

Anyone on Fab who hates NYE should all meet up in a room later on and play a game of "Fab Spin The Bottle" ...

Some won't forget that NYE but depending on who you're matched with, some might sooner want to!

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE EVERYBODY!!!

New years Eve is usally a day you reflect on things. If all's good in your life then great. If all's not rosie then it can be a hard day and looking a people celebrating can then make it worse.

Never liked new years eve. But this year im going to look forward to a new year and remind myself there is hope in each new day. Reminded today how fragile life is doing a two hour search along the coast for a missing neighbour. So if nye not your thing dont go simple as. We need to learn to look after ourselves and say no.

Personally I never go out on new year's eve. I've always brought the new year in at home with my kids, for me, their the first and most important people I want to wish a happy new year to.

As for the new year itself I look at it 1 of 2 ways

If it's been a shit year, I'm thankful it's over and look forward to making this a good one

If it was a good year, then I see it as a way of bringing that good with me and making the new year and even better one

Tina
