And NO Wiki or Google, please. - that's cheating

I do indeed. It's easy to remember which is the right one. Discrete is the one you don't want.... That's 'individually separate'. Just like the two e's either side of the T . What you do want is discreet which is far from discreet in is spelling with the two e's side by side for all to see. The hussies!

Dunboyne & Dublin

One refers to keeping things separate, whereas the other refers to keeping things confidential.

Forgot to say discreet is what most Fabbers are referring to

Op, I'm going to admit that I actually googled that one as I thought they both meant the exact same thing... one being the english and the other the american spelling...

Every Fab day is a learning day. Thanks for that!

@jd Still totting up scores. So far it's neck and neck between 2 guys and a couple. Not saying who... that wouldn't be discreet.

Also taking replies in private btw FYI...

Looks like I'll need to pay another trip to Capel Street again before long. There's a really cute expat babydyke I've been eyeing up for awhile... really helpful when it comes to advice on purchasing a harness. ;^)

Discreet is the word you use for keeping things secret or hidden.

Discrete means separated and on its own, ancillary could have a similar meaning.

The term could be used in legal circles to describe some documents being discrete (ancillary or in addition to perhaps, the main report)
