Action Man - the one with the moving snake eyes. Same time as my sister got Cindy doll.

Then stripped him off to change uniform and found he was a eunach. Curiosity drove me to check if Cindy had been short changed too and of course she had gotten sealed up and her nips were missing.

I tried to lend moral support by taking a black biro and colouring in her bush - even though she was blonde. Course if it was now I needn’t have bothered as shaved is more natural

I can remember every detail of those few hours,my parents moving tables and chairs around me setting up the dinner table my brothers and sister playing in my peripheral vision with their gifts, the shows on TV etc etc the wrenching of my heart through my chest (figuratively speaking) as it all went crunch.

A moment that never left me, I got my first proper bicycle this particular xmas, I cycled into primary school after the holidays, I remember it as clear as if it happened yesterday. It was friday, I locked the bicycle in the yard, came down to unlock it after school only to realise id lost the key. I was distraught at the prospect of my bicycle being left there over the weekend, I built myself up with an anger, that when I pulled at the lock and chain I snapped the chain, I know what your thinking, it was a small lock, if I tried to do the sme today with a similar set up, id fail..the power of emotion

The innocence

Was 11yo,,was at midnight mass and got a lift home by next door neighbour who asked me what I was getting for Christmas present, so I told him I was getting a computer as my older brother had informed me that he had seen it and I could not wait to get playing games on it, I remember his grin all these years later as he said enjoy your computer dropping me off at home.

Got up about 6am so excited jumped down the stairs and opened living room door hoping to see this shining computer lol. Looking around the room and not seeing my computer I was bemused thinking wtf as I stared at this 6ft green rectangular thing lol ,,, not a computer but a snooker table which my Next door neighbour had collected for my parents as we did not have a car,,, that grin still makes me laugh.

And the snooker table was the best present I ever got had years and years of playing on it.

I was devastated! I wanted her the previous year but it didn't happen so I waited another year. Then found him drawing specs around her eyes because I wouldn't give him the curly wurly out of my selection box!

When I was about 8 I asked my dad for a small snooker table. We lived close to a pool hall but I wasn't allowed go there, full of ruffiains .

About a week before Xmas my brother and I were in on a Sunday morning jumping up and down on my dad in his bed trying to annoy him when out of nowhere my brother karate kicks me in the throat, off the bed I flew and bounced of the wall landing face down on the floor. No joke I thought I was dying until I turned my head to see the box of a snooker table under the bed. Panic in my dad's eyes and a miracle recovery from me.

Apparently Santa was really busy that year and he had to send my gifts earlier with AnPost. Who knew santa used couriers. Bloody loved that snooker table
