I find a lot of black men write to me on here,but I'm not interested in black men but they continue to send me messages,I'm very polite and not rude,I'm sure they very nice guys,but they not for me should I put it on my profile,I like white men is that wrong of me ???

Your quite entitled to a preference and don't need to explain yourself for that.I agree many may play the BBC card but also there is a compliment in there that they are mailing you.As long as it's nice and respectful.But if your finding too many are mailing then put up a preference on your profile.Alot or people on this site only want BBC and have it plastered across their profiles not to mail them if you aren't the colour of their choice.I think it works both ways so you'd be quite entitled to put up your preference and probably in a nicer way than many of the one who I refer on the BBC.As for the racist element,anyone who tries to turn it into anything other than a preference is an instant block for me.People get too caught up on wanting to be PC on everything these days.

There are profiles in here that state exclusively they only meet with BBC, therefore if you put on your profile you only meet white guys or local guys can't be seen as racist.

It's your preference. We have our preferences, although we find it's good to broaden our horizons by widening our criteria. Usually the best, and most interesting experiences come from where you don't expect.

Anyhow, I see you've updated your profile to explicitly mention no "black men".

I would suggest that maybe you try to make your profile more concise. Or at least put your list of DON'T/WON'Ts at the top of your profile. Guys can be lazy and just glance/skin over profiles as they go through so many. As guy and as part of a couple, I've got an idea of both sides of the coin. Men and Women's use and experiences on dating sites are very different, it's hard to understand the other side.

Another practice that you can do at the end of your profile is to tell people to write something in the subject line of their messages to you. E.g. "If you've managed to read and understand all of my profile, and are interested, send a message with the subject line 6969.". Then you just delete or ignore the messages that don't have this in the subject line.

You don't come across as racist at all. We all have our own tastes and preferences. People have age limits, height limits, physical types they like and ofcourse couples or no single guys so this is just your choice. The fact you are worried about how it looks if you put it on your profile says enough about you. People have to respect others choices. Keep smiling and enjoy what you want

I def find it easiest when there is a clear description on people's profiles that tell you what they want.

As a non white (but non black) person on here I would never be offended if someone had written something like 'Caucasian only' or that you are not attracted to a specific skin tone.

It is a big deal when you say sorry I'm not interest and they them accuse you of being racist. The abuse I have gotten from black guys just because I have said sorry but no thanks is horrible. I am far from racist and have in the past played with black guys so drives me mad when they use the racist card.

There aren't that many on fab Ireland that it's even worth considering putting that up. Believe me I know how many there are, you're lucky you find approx 20 of them.

As for the abuse, I always experienced them as the most polite non pushy men on here.
