I think i need a hdmi to vga cable to make laptop and projector compatible..you can buy led projectors from china for 40 euro..seems like a bargain

---------

I got one recently to show films on my livingroom wall. They're great but some can be A LITTLE NOISY (like a fan) in operation. Obviously you pay more for better resolution and lower sound but 100 quid on amazon should get you something that does the job...

It's not like jet engine loud or anything...

But if you hook in either portable speakers or have a stereo system in place to play a bit louder, you'll hardly notice...

Dunboyne & Dublin

I have one but it's a JVC hooked up to a full 7.2 THX speaker system, powered by Denon and Rotel.

I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter cable and it works brilliantly.

Mine is only 19db fan noise so can hardly be heard even if room is silent.

Try to stay under 30db noise PJ's and I would strongly recommend that you get a true 1080p £500 pj. Check What HiFi/Home Cinema Choice/Techradar/Stuff for reviews and lastly, buy it from Richer Sounds in Belfast if you can. Take their extended warranty and trust me, you'll be amazed at their customer service.

Try to keep the signal digital if can. As in DVI/HDMI to same. I've bought VGA to HDMI and they don't work unless there's a convertor as part of it.
