Any of you watch the right wing nutter Alex Jones ? Latest rant being that liberal lesbians want to eat your brain and torture you. The guy has a big enough following in the states for someone who specialises in incoherent babble. Trump himself is a fan of this deranged lunatic. Of the great minds throughout time such as Socrates, Aristotle, Einstein, Bertrand Russell the price of free speech is the likes of this chap having a platform to spew his ridiculous rhetoric . The price of lack of education is confirmation bias and cognitive dissonance which further encapsulates the ignorance. I imagine he has a few fans on here and if there is so be it . I would like to hear a coherent post reasoning why he you listen to his content.

Why anyone would want to listen to a hearsay merchant at best and conspiracy peddlar is beyond me...

If he could put out his views and back them up logically and coherently, that would be one thing. Instead he rants and raves like a WWE wrestler ...especially whenever someone disagrees with him

...

I think Alex Jones being popular is more a reflection of the times and culture that's he's a part of, more so than anything else ...and that is worrying

That's it. The fact I disagree with him is neither here nor there. It's like he is broadcasting from an asylum and people succumb to his views as actual truth. Mindblowing.

He is a fear monger that sells doomsday survival gear. He is raking in millions off the mentally challenged. He says gmo's are bad but has his fake doctor on his show pushing his supplements full of gmo's. Literally a modern day snake oil salesman

In my original post I forgot about his products he sells on the show. People actually take him serious which is the worrying thing. Some folks seem to love a conspiracy theory.and he is their guy to push.certain conspiracies.

The BBC ran a story saying they were the most trusted news source in the UK.

They didn't realise that the same story also debunked other stories them and the new york times were running at the same time. That fake news on facebook was brainwashing the masses.

Turns out less than 1% in the UK use facebook & twitter for news.

How many times have you read a new york times article only to find buried in the story is information directly contradicting the headline?

Did you know that the USA provides a "freedom of press" grant, of up to 1 million dollars. They are currently paying out over 100 million dollars to news providers in over 100 countries?

So why listen to alex jones?

Because mainstream media, and a lot of people on this site want to impeach trump for wanting a travel ban.

While Obama carried out the most assassinations of any president in history. Deported the most people of any country in history. Was running torture camps across the globe. But it was okay cause he did it with a wink and a smile on SNL.

Alex says a lot of crazy stuff, but he also says stuff that is right. Hillary was sick, Trump would win, he wants a lot of things that a lot of you want. America to back down in the global world, to stop interfering in the middle east, to view russia as different but not be afraid of them, possibly even friendly. He only lies about as much as normal news, and his lies are much easier to spot because they are usually about lizzard people being behind everything etc.

If you don't cast an eye over his news, then you are not trying to keep yourself informed.

The real news lies inbetween msm, infowars, RT, al jazera.

I mean remember MSM pushed the image of a bloody child in back of ambulance in syria? Turned out to be an assad supporter.

Or have you heard about that chemical attack that trump bombed syria over? Turned out it was fabricated.

Or how BBC has admitted that UK has been funding ISIS for the last 3 years (like alex jones said).

At least alex jones lies dont get people murderd like msm lies do.

Its like scientology or religion or flat earth. People like to be in on something others aren't and their ego stops them from accepting when they are wrong. Cognitive dissonance comes to mind.

Nothing wrong with liking conspiracies, its when you start taking conspiracy as fact, and facts as conspiracy you have a problem. Jones relies on that as much as any preacher.
