Home life dictates not a lot of choice, without spending €100 before you even get to the pub.

As a btw SuperValu and Tesco have Guinness at €25 a crate, for those of you in same boat as myself

Don't get me wrong, I love going out but family life, location and money all play a part. Result is I have a drink at home more often.

They may agree more with OP though, as he prefers going out.

They may also have heads up on other offers

Give them a chance lol. No it's the 6 from a selection of decent wines offer for lets say 40. Not single bottle offers. Ex Christmas week last year I got 3 yellowtale Chardonnay and 3 Wolfblass semmillion chardonnay for 22 yo yo's because I had some shopping vouchers too. Supervalu doesn't compare on bulk offers.

Saying that I've a nice prosecco in my fridge from a few weeks ago.

The only time I'd recommend Dunne's Stores is for their wine offers, find they usually have some better deals, as least in the bottles we like.

As for house drinking, we don't drink that often, mostly just wine these days but at the end of the day its about the company your in more than the venue.

I've had nights out in Derry and can confirm this. Great spot for a night out and super nice people.

It’s very seldom I go out, cause when I do I’m on a rampage and takes about a week to recover a few beer turns into 12 6 shots bruises cuts and a lost t shirt probably 200 pound in debt... I’d rather just have a few in the house lol

The lesson I learned a long time ago is to avoid shots.

Also don't mix dark drinks with white/light drinks.

I can drink Guinness/red wine/Bacardi and all in one night, in any combination and not have a hangover. If I change the wine to white, or mix the Bacardi with anything of a citrus nature (7up/orange) I'll be in a heap the next day.

I should mention that I will have a date with cherry schnapps some time in the future, hopefully, so I'll let you know if that's a safe option too. Not sure about the barmaid though. She may give me a serious head

Love Piña Colada. Rum, coconut and pineapple. What's not to like!

If you're ever in UK go to Turtle Bay I think it's called. They do some variations on that which are gorgeous, especially the one with Absinthe

This !!! The bruises , I never knew where the bruises came from ! And of course as you get older the recovery period gets longer . Yes a few drinks at home , safer and cheaper !

Couldn't help myself

Semi skimmed is for coffee and cereal.

Full cream for the ladies.

I'm thinking a guy drinking Piña Colada would be attractive to the ladies, as they know what he would likely taste like later. I don't mean his mouth!
