What does this mean to you guys ? Have you received this reply back " sorry your not my type" are we basically saying I don't find you attractive. Would you prefer not to get a reply back of this nature?

Personally I wouldn't be bothered by it,I know I would not be the type that many many people are looking for and for example if you look at the most fabbed pix on here you will see that there are people who like all types,I look at some and think how can anyone fab that photo and I look at others and think wow,it is the exact same for everyone else.

You're not your profile so you can never take it personally ...

When a person who's getting 50 plus messages a day, even writes "you're not my type" means he/she's had the courtesy to read and reply...

Sometimes I'm more dubious about the ones that say I am their type. What are they thinking!

No, doesn't bother me. I'm an acquired taste and it would take time to get to know me. Not here for a quick fuck with no connection so, if someone doesn't feel like chatting, no skin off my nose.

Far too busy perving the lady pics and spouting shite on the forums to pass much heed. Ye may have noticed

I don't necessarily have a type, but I know pretty fast if I click with someone or not, so I have in the past told people they're not my type, because it's easier than trying to explain that I'm not feeling a click.

I wouldn't take it personally. It could be many things that doesn't appeal to them.

You're preferences or the look of your profile. So may not be what's on your pics.

I think its fair to say its just a guys experience in receiving these replies here.. can we acknowledge that the ego does take a slap when a rapport has been built, then pics exchanged.. sorry, not my type follows..

Any reply is valid, whether it's positive/negative.

At least you know they had the courtesy to read your message at the very least. If they say you're not my type, just accept and move on. Don't be the pushy wanker ladies hate that replies asking what part isn't or what could you change.

The only choices you have, as a gentleman, is to reply saying thanks for responding anyway or just saying nothing and moving on. All else is folly.

No, it's not fair to say that. I've been told by someone I'm not their type after swapping photos. Such is life.

Being told you're not my type is a completely impersonal way of rejecting someone. Different strokes for different folks.

Exactly, I couldn't have said it better, without the emotion consuming me

Yes it's equal to I'm not attracted to you. I almost never use that expression, because most of the time I turn someone away after the first message and I find it hard to say you're not my type based on one message and the profile itself.

I'm sure women and couples receive rejection here also, for numerous reasons, and while it is obviously a part of life, life on fab is magnified a hundred fold for single guys here.. I was being more curious as we see the repetitive threads from guys getting rejected, but seldom hear of the emotion attached. Such is life

Dunno about that DH.

There's some profiles I've blocked instantly because of the pics and the descriptions on them.

I know, I'll get that cosy, warm feeling again at Christmas and unblock them all, so at least I am open to having my mind changed.

Yes of course there are those you know straight away but I still prefer a gentler way of saying your not my type, I only use that if the lad doesn't get the hint.

Ack its tough at the start but after a while you realise a lot of ppl are either looking something specific,or are only looking and its their way of not going any further...

..another little tip...someones type on monday may not be their type saturday night and vice versa...theres a fair bit of right time right place on fab...

Single guys shouldnt take these messages too seriously...

We would normally be up front and say so and wouldn't take offence if they said we weren't their type -after all we all have our preferences and rightly so !

I have chatted with men and been told this.some have just stopped chatting which u take as a no interest and move on but others have said it upfront to me.i don't mind it being said.it being open and honest.

After all there will be people here u will not be interested or attracted to.i don't think it should be taking personally.plenty others here
