I'm heading to Derry next Friday with a vanilla friend and I'm just wondering if any locals would have any recommendations where to head out?

We would be looking for lively pubs and a place to boogie!!

on a Friday i would recommend the dungloe bar or bentley. looking something a bit more up beat and lively you could try Granny Annies

most pubs in Derry are tourist bars but the Bentley metro are good bars

I've been in granny Annie's in enniskillen, it was a great spot.

Probably, it has an older crowd than the other places mentioned and not in the city centre.

I met a group of Derry girls on a night out in Dublin once. talk about a strong accent. I hadn't a clue what any of the 5 were saying. it was a case of just smiling and nodding

So if your looking for decent cocktails start with the Blackbird then Waterloo street, The Dungloe has live music & a good beer garden. From there I would head to the Bentley or Granny Annies to finish the night off.
