booked in 2 hotels and both need key to access lift to bedroom and corridors. Annoying

I’m talking bout in 2 diff city. I mean for Guest to come up to the room. They can’t go anywhere without a keycard. Coz they need a keycard to access lift.

Been there, done that... Getting into the lift was fine but I couldn't get out on the floors with bedrooms. Eventually someone sense got in and I pretended I had forgotten my key card. Phew, that was a relief!

Come down for a drink say you've left the keycard in the room. Get a second pop it in an envelope leave it in reception for the guest to collect.

Done it before they don't deactivate the second card.

Depends on the hotel. I tried to do that second one wouldn't work . Kinda ruins the atmosphere when you're half naked and you have to get dressed again.

Had a similar situation and it took me about 20 minutes to get in haha

I tried to get 2 keycards in a Manchester hotel on Saturday.

A well know hotel chain reused to give me a second one saying that as I hadn’t put down that more than 1 person was staying in room I couldn’t have one

Let’s say a stroppy letter to customer service was made saying it ruined weeeknd surprise for partner
