Sprains take time to heal..keep it wrapped in cold packs...keep off it. Few pain killers before your gig but there's no quick sadly

Lots of ice for as long as possible today keep it up for as long as possible, and then some heavyish strapping! It should allow you to have some pressure on it!

Lots of ice for as long as possible is not wise at all. Ice should only be used to stop initial swelling as it decreases blood flow. For healing to take place you need heat and blood/oxygen flow to the area. Strap it up and take anti inflammatories. Failing that just bite the bullet and pay for a professional.

the right side of the river

I'm no physiotherapist but I will give it a rub

rice

Rest

Ice (not directly, wrapped in a towel)

Compression (tight bandage, not too tight that cuts off blood)

Elevate, sit or lie and keep your foot up, this helps prevent fluid build up.

South

Defo no ice after 1st 20 mins of hurting the area. Boots do a good "advanced adjustable ankle support". It's about €25 but will do the trick support wise. Not the sexiest thing in the world either but hey, comfort is paramount. Also difene or plain ibrufen will work to reduce the inflammation and quell any pain.

Hope this helps and that you feel better soon

Sprains take a whole lot longer to repair than a break . If you are in that much pain I think you should cancel your London gig . What's the point in going if you are in agony or on a crutch .

Ice compression and elevation. Only cure.

We not all gifted with literary talents. Once it's capable of being understood I'm not sure why the the m to draw attention to it. Each to their own, I guess.

And if it's not her first language ?. If we behaved as the photo quality police like some take on the roll of grammar police I don't think I would take any pleasure in pointing out some peoples lack of ability. Some always have to see the negative

This is the best advice. Ice pack are only to be used inside first hr or so to prevent swelling. ..After the damage has been done and not reversible. Anti inflammatory as said I'd then used to reduce and disperse the swelling. Pain relief about 1 hrs before you go. Usually taken every 4 hrs depending on strength.

Rest is best cure for sprains. Even physio will not be much use and could do more damage if done incorrectly. Sorry but that's the way it is.

if you just want to get through the gigs ,for now, heavy strapping during the gig, take painkillers well in advance of gig ,No alcohol(sad) stay off youre feet as much as possible ,drink loads of water and eat well ,as they will help the painkillers ,after gig off with the strapping and you off youre feet.best of luck with the gig . This is the best advice here!

You’ll also need to rest it...

Difene (anti-inflams) are good but you’ll need a Dr for those.

Hopefully you’ll be ok(ish) for the gig.

Best of luck OP
