I wouldn't do spur of the moment meets, if I get to know someone over a period of time, then distance wouldn't be the deciding factor.

I've never done a spur of the moment meet either plus before I will actually arrange to meet someone I would have been chatting to them for a while and will do a coffee meet where's possible first..and agree distance wouldn't be a factor either. .

Exactly Laura, a full weekend trip is different from arriving in the evening and going home at 6 for 300kms return

No issue with that. I may be old school but I would never ask a girl to travel. But then again I still open doors, walk on the outside and pay for meals and drinks. Just the way I was brought up.

Dublin to Tipp. And it was a disaster. They persuaded us to change from a decent hotel to a plush hotel. They said we would split the cost, but we could stay after our fun but they would go home.Things were tight at the time (moneywise not down below lol ) but we agreed. They turned up,had a drink or two, then bailed. We had already paid for the room. We were not happy !

First and last ! They left the site soon after. Don't mind if they were too shy or even didnt fancy us, though we did chat for a good while before and swapped face pics, but it was a long way to go,and expensive, to have our time wasted.

I went from Donegal to Kerry last week to see my best girl. For the right person or people, distance is not a major problem to me.
