Phone scam

Hey guy. I don't post a thread on the forums that often but I just thought I'd warn everybody. Be care of a phone scam that's going around at the moment. A missed call from a +231 or +235 or + 269 number. They are based on africa. Don't answer or phone them back. It's a scam to put your bill up. Just ignore the call and block the number. Just thought I'd let everybody know

I think they leave ring about 3 times and hang up for you to rung them.. premium number.

But it was my old uncle Albert asking me for my bank account number so he can transfer the profits of a diamond mine we apparently have in our family!

(I didn’t know I have family in Nigeria!)

Turns out my old uncle actually died but his lawyer is sending me the money from the will. What an honest guy!

I had 1 last week to my business looking paid for an ad i never placed in a fictional magazine... asked to call me back so googled the mag and of course was a scam where they'd conned hundreds of ppl so when he rang back the mention of local police being interested in talking to him soon got him off the phone

I had one at 8 this morning from a Dublin number. A lady with an Indian accent wanting to talk about my credit card and some unusual transactions on it. I agreed that I would be concerned about any spend on my credit card since I don't have one. She feckin' hung up on me.
