lads anyone know why phone contacts disappear out of your contacts for no reason? go to check and some missing each day. android phone

Check which phone book it's using, mine sometimes jumps between google account and exchange account with no interaction from me.

On my phone it's under people, then in the top right hand side you've got a drop down arrow beside phone book, when it drops down you can select which book to use. No idea about recovering though I'm afraid

If you saved them to your Gmail account you should be able to get them back

If you use a backup app then it shall always keep your contacts saved. That way you will never lose any contacts even if you have to reinstall them every so often.

Also handy in case you ever lose your phone.

Personally I use CM Backup but there are plenty of apps just like it.
