Heading to Edinburgh soon for the first time. Was wondering if anybody had been before and had some good recommendations? These can be recommendations in a tourist or Fab sense

Mackenzi gost tour......midnight,haymarket for night time...royal mile,get the bus into town not tram...taxi better,Leith can be great fun...a pub called rose leaf for cocktails

Hit up the Camera Obscura, it's next to the Castle and well worth the ticket price, most fun I've had whilst sober with my clothes on.

If you fancy some great food, this was excellent - http://www.stacpolly.com/dublinst/index.php - but it's a few years ago. Not cheap but very good, especially if you have a date with you that you want to impress.

The camera obescra place is good .the whiskey shop isnt a bad place to go.got d*unk on freebie whiskeys when the tour was delayed.cant recomened anything fabwise there as i behaved myself on that visit

Ah yes Miss Fab! The whiskey tasting place just down from the castle?

Great place and you don't pay rip off prices for a humongous array of whiskeys to sample.

Definitely worth a visit but don't make definite plans for anything else that day
