It's 40 years since Elvis left the building...

Have you a favourite tune? Memory?

I have a vivid memory of my old mam playing elvis albums after mass almost every sunday morning while reading the paper and having a cuppa .... #goodtimes

My tune of the day today is "Don't "

I thought it was another king you were talking about.

I have a strange fascination with him singing In The Ghetto with Lisa Marie.

Do those of you old enough remember where you were when the news came out that he'd died?

I'd just come back from Spain and was on a bus from the plane to the terminal at Heathrow when I saw in on the front page of a newspaper a man opposite me was reading.

I grew up watching Elvis movies as a kid, pure cheddar as he'd be asked a question and just break out into song...

My fav song is IN THE GHETTO

I must say I'm not the biggest Elvis fan. Don't get me wrong, he was a wonderful artist and I certainly admired all his work but was just have my ex being a singer and us always in Karaoke places every other night of the week and constantly hearing Elvis songs being done (some woeful versions too) it just got too much for me. Lol

Dublin

I was a kid at the time. My older brother woke me up from my sleep to tell me the news.he was a huge fan and very upset about it. He never quite mastered the art of elvis' gyrating hips though!

Favourite song has to be The Wonder of You.

The Sun Sessions is an incredible album actually. His early stuff where it's just his voice, a guitar and a double bass.

I dunno if I could pick a favourite song, but King Creole and Burnin Love are pretty fun to sing.
