I think it's outdated and old fashioned, but it's still worth having for the crowds it draws to tralee and surrounding areas and for the extra employment it creates.

Fooking disgraceful in this day and age having The Rose Of Tralee just for women...

There should be a men's section where lad's show off their party pieces like drinking three pints in a minute, mooning the audience and belching out to Despacito

Discriminatory events like this has this bloody country the way it is ...

Random I know but I used to "see" a married lady in the north for about a year this is about 8 years ago. She was (probably still is) gorgeous early forties. After a while she showed me a pic of her a lot younger. It was of her at the rose of tralee as winner! So I have "had" a rose lol.

There is a bit of a buzz around the town but it mainly seems to consist of young (and I mean young) people getting totally wasted on drink ......... I tend to avoid it as much as possible....
