Hey all just wondering does this happen much, I received a verification while ago apparently from a couple that I met but I havnt met a couple on here with ages let alone today? Looks like their no longer on site either? Whats the story with that shite? Thanks.

I never displayed them or would I veri them in return! It's dishonest!

I had something similar. A fake veri from a ts/tv that I never met. They went UNLOS so I can't remove it from my verification summary.

It's the "female" profiles who manage to get a veri within an hour of joining that make me laugh. Essentially desperate men verifying what is most probably another man in the vain hope of getting a meet with a fictional female.

We've been talking to one profile that is clearly fake that has five verifications... All hidden and all no doubt 'we met this girl when she was last on here' rather than anything contemporary.

Luckily for us we have security to deal with a man who turns up pretending to be a couple or female beforehand but really for single females or couples alone the personal safety risks with this sort of thing are quite frightening.

The golden rule - hidden verifications are no verifications at all.

I have my verts hidden for various reasons

If meeting someone i do offer to show them the verts and its their choice or not whether they want to see them

From previous experience a hidden verification may no longer exist.

If the person leaves the site it won't show but will still be in the summery

This then leads people to believe someone is hiding something which may or may not be the case.

My biggest annoyance with the site is quote in quote. That should be sorted sharpish

Another female profile in my feed this morning ... joined at 1am, profile pic is a picture of a picture and verified by meet at 3am (not displayed)

This would cut out the option of a 'bad' veri as you could just refuse it.

The same applies to the possibility of deleting verifications. It's impossible for admin to find out who got an unsolicited veri of someone he/she never met or if the person just wants to get rid of a veri that he/she might regard it as disadvantaging.

I had a veri waiting for me on the account page that I didn't want. I didn't read it and blocked the profile. It disappeared but I don't know if it went on my summary or not.

Blocking a person will cancel out the written veri on both sides but remains in the summary. Once you unblock the person it's back.

They won't be unblocked lol. I just wondered if it had disappeared for good as I'd not read it. I guess not

ON that note, I deleted my account and lost the veris I had, so now can't barely message half the people on here.

If anyone on here that knows me want to verify me I can pm them my pic holding card with username and fab on it.

Because we were a couple profile before it was deleted. Now it's a single profile and she's not on it any more but we're still meeting, she's not even on it as a single woman. How difficult is it to understand.

But you DID have a photo of her on her own on YOUR (single guy) profile.

Nobody should verify anyone from an old profile unless they are in contact with them NOW - that is in fabs rules.

A meet verification can't be from an old meet on a different profile.

Breaking this simple sort of protection is exactly why frauds prosper.
