What would you say is too far to travel ? And should the guy always make the effort or what ?

Normally, 20-30 miles max, however... Intrigue is a good travelling companion.

No, they tend to get lost.

We prefer someone more than 20 miles, due to the nature of rural Ireland. Plus there's always a reason to travel in some lines of work

It's not unreasonable for both parties to travel, we're not all princesses.

Seems perfectly reasonable to us.

I try to meet somewhere half way for the social firstvand then I'd travel further if the chemistry is right, for the next meet

Tyrone, Ireland

Depends on the circumstances but am happy to drive an hour or so for a meet, whether it's social or otherwise.

Or as Ms Hunnitoes suggest, somewhere in between where you can both meet is also good.

Totally agree and OP any efforts should be made by both sides!

Anyone in the radius of an hour is fine, but if their worth making the trip for then why not go further a field.

It's all about the build up and suspense....if that is high - then a distance is worth traveling

Distance not an issue if theres mutual attraction...round the corner is too far if its one way traffic...

"Furthest travelled was 2 & 1/2 hours.. but was worth it "

That means we can easily meet half way

Dunboyne & Dublin

Surely the distance will reflect the interest.

If you have been having good banter, then even a 3hr drive, depending on circumstance, would be worthwhile. In these days, we can even video chat on Kik, so you should have a good idea of the other person in advance, if you want to go to that stage.

It kind of, I said kind of, can negate the coffee meet if you vidchat or facetime.

Then the distance should be irrelevant, if you're at the stage of jumping into bed/off a wardrobe with each other.
