Yes, just a word, but when delivered good and hard with nasty intent is explosive, to the point and abrupt..

Words like "pussy" or "twat" are playful, bouncy and sweet sounding in comparison...

The male equivalent word is "prick" as in "your man's a total prick" . while saying "tell him he's only a bollox" is actually a term of endearment from one Irish guy to another
