So... in this day and age, unless you're in a long term relationship, not covering your pecker is a pretty bad idea. Well, I thought I'd heard all the excuses until last night.

She says to me... I have allergies, condoms give me a rash and make me itch, I have the coil though so its ok!

Obviously, a u-turn was made and sadly I came home with blue balls!

Anyone else heard this before???

I know and have met some people with latex allergies so this could be it.

Fortunately there are latex free condoms out there put normally have to go to a chemist and ask for them. They are more expensive too.

Skyn latex free condoms are not much more expensive and much better than latex. More feeling and no nasty smell from them!

Yeah, the latex free is the safest alternative. I could be wrong here, but if I'm on a promise and rock up with an impulse buy from the petrol station on the way over, if the other half of the duo is allergic, surely they should have the alternative at hand... one may be good but he certainly isn't a mind reader and can't tell if someone has an allergy!!!

If someone is 'on a promise' - couldn't they ask beforehand or bring both?

I don't think I would have had the will power to stop and head home to be honest; I would have been won over at "I have the coil" - which probably says more about me than I care to admit.

I carry them - not the latex free ones tho. I know I'm not allergic and figure if he is then he'll have them

I would off doing a u-turn as well. It has to be safe sex and with the attitude 'I have a coil it's ok' how many times has that line been used and the lad said ok. Think if your safety and leg it is the only option

Same here always have my own..

And would find it a bit disrespectful if the other person doesn't bring any either.. But it's something I would discuss with a meet prior to meeting anyway..

I don't think I find it disrespectful if they turn up with none - I just think they are trying their luck

Probably, but at least I'm honest about it rather than lying to appear all goodie two shoes in the hope that it earns me browny points for a shag; the amount of men who lie about their condom use out there is unreal - if you play, you should play safety (whatever that means to you and your partner/s) and STI screens should be a regular part of your routine.

I agree plus it's surprising how many guys don't bring condoms to a meet...

Saying that the women are just as bad as the men.

That's hardly a fair statement as quite a few women on this thread have said that they bring their own protection to meets

Personally, I don't see why anyone would go to a meet without carrying.

If the other person doesn't bring em then at least you're covered. If the other person does bring em then you have more to use up... it's a win win!!!

Is bringing condoms to meets not seen as presumptuous? Or are meets guaranteed sex to all involved?

And I wasn't referring to any of those women!

But it's like the guy said lots of women think because they are on the coil/pill/ or whatever that it's okay to play away!
