It is very much the forbidden fruit, I know plenty but would never try anything flirty or sexual as I would be in fear of the consequences, but is there any separated or single travellers on here?

If so I would imagine it's a green light to flirt?

Kilkenny, but Dublin is more fun

Well I know there's stereotypes but I was seeing a woman for a couple of months without knowing she was from a traveller background (her family had settled).

Main problem was that her family hated me because the grandparents had already decided she was to marry her first cousin in Wexford.

"Yeah, this thread is not racist at all..."

I wouldn't say racist, people all discuss their desires, from age/sex/colour and body features. This is just a post to see if I am alone and to find anyone to help with my desire

I thought racism is about someones skin colour and not there backround eg culture or tradition.. travellers are a ethnicity group..

Normally ethnicity means the following..he fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition.

"the interrelationship between gender, ethnicity, and class

Noting in there regarding too colour..

Not that we have an issue with travellers we know some and they are the best people we know.. theres a small number that gives them a bad name.. but likewise with the settled people we have bad apples in our group.. In the end where all humans we should respect one another. Regadless of skin colour culture religion etc etc..

Dunboyne & Dublin

I think racism is basically one particular person/people believing they are better than everyone else. Snobbery would be another word. It becomes an issue when those people begin voicing their opinion that others are less than them and don't deserve the same treatment in life and it's possibilities. It is not specific to race/colour/creed/religion but you can be pretty sure it's the reason for the majority of discontent in this world. The sooner we all learn to see the person beneath, regardless of circumstance, the better we will all be.

I'm off to smoke a peace pipe and explain how all the major wars were started as a result of something a woman did though

Yes, you are absolutely correct, but I have given up on explaining the differences to people who are more then happy to use the word "racism" for most of the types of chauvinism based on different cultural/ethnic/national/looks basis.

We have loads of settled travellers living round us there's usually no problems only when there's a feud or something then you have to put your tin hat on and get the sandbags out...it's actually the kids that cause most of the problems cheeky wee bastards..called my wife a fucking whoring bitch coz we asked them to get out of the local football club coz they climbed the fence and were dancing on top of the dugouts was only about 8 or 9 yrs old

Let's solve this problem what is racism by definition:

racism

're?s?zm/Submit

noun

prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior.

Therefore we also need to look at the definition of "Race" in this instance race applicable to the arguments rather than a horse race or any other variation:

A group of people united or classified together on the basis of common history, nationality, or geographic distribution: eg. the Celtic race.

Thus Op is definitely not being racist as he wants to bang/fuck/make love/chikychaka/taste the forbidden fruit of a traveller lady. And he is not saying she is inferior to him . Problem solve go find that traveller boi

Racism has to do with Race, and the comments are on here are racist and derogatory, predudice and segregating. With out the travelling man the Irish music would be lost, a lot of traditions would also be lost.

It's not one person thinking they are better than another but rather thinking their race is superior than another in some way. It actually can be a very impersonal belief. I find most have little real understanding of many 'isms', they have been personalised by people who enjoy taking offence or by those who personalise most things that were never intended as personal. Stereotyping is another thing too but often lumped into the racist pool unfortunately. It's sad when things get twisted so quickly without finding out what's it's really all about to start with.
