How long do you leave it before you make contact?

Don't play games.

If you like someone, tell them. A lot of people, myself included, at one time or another have let a person go that way.

Don't worry about playing it cool or being too eager because some unwritten 'rule' preaches it; just be yourself.

Definitely echo the above.

A message the following day. Nothing too heavy. No discussing having children or moving in but definitely say hello. Mention how you had a great night and enjoyed their company and would love to see her again soon. Suggest lunch to cure the sore heads or something if you were drinking together.

Definitely let it be known you didn't take the number for the sake of it.

It's an easy mistake to make. Just like accidental proposals.

You're from Cavan, drop a €2 coin and instantly you kneel down to pick it up. In the haze of alcohol and chatter chatter in the low light she mistakes the silver of the coin for a ring with no diamond in it (remember, the Cavan part)

And starts texting S.O.S. to her wing woman to come save her.
