And we will see one horses ass replaced by another horses ass. With all the wit and talent of this fantastic country, are FF and FG really the best that we can do? Will we see the proclamation implemented in our lifetime?

It goes to show if a doctor can't sort out the health services who can.

He just seems more human and less of an old fashioned irish politician

He's been totally inept in every ministry he's held. Another rogue is all he is.

Was he a good Taoiseach ? He seemed very composed and dignified. Beyond that I don't know much about him.

I suppose the austerity measures the EU called to be implemented after the crisis were out of his hands and whoever was leading the helm so to speak would've been charged with doing the same and viewed with resentment and disdain by virtue of having to bring the austerity into force.

Or is there something more to it?

He inherited a basket case economically and turned it into one of the strongest performing economies in the world. That much cannot be argued. He delivered....

He accepted the poisoned chalice and turned this economy around. People forget the state this country was in when he took over.

And even after a big hit in the last election he got back on the horse when others hadn't the balls to.

History will write him as one of our best leaders.

Simon is my choice. I think he would suit the roll very well, his determined, hard worker, and did alot for housing situation here and is going too improve more, and also disability claim. And alot more, he has good head on his shoulders.

They don't call the health ministry a poison chalice for nothing, I don't think there is anyone that could fix it
