OP it may be a revolutionary concept but have you ever considered trying to get to know someone....this isn't McDonald's.

You may fail get knocked back deleted blocked even, but then not everything you want in this life works out the way you want it to.

The OP could have been successful. We don't know.

People will male fun because it seems unlikely that the OP was successful. But that might not be the case.

When I had a single profile I posted on a thread like this one as a joke saying I would like a meet in cavan town. I got 3 replies. I was shocked.

So perhaps the OP was successful. Hopefully he was successfully

It's 2 fold; the woman isn't a laughing stock but it realistically could happen. For a man, it's highly unlikely.

The 'You go girl' is just white knighting on desperate men or else disgusting double standards on behalf of women/couples

Not sure I'd see it as desperate either. He's there and it's a chance to meet someone while he's there whom he may otherwise not meet due to distance. It's an opportunity...take the chance. Some you win some you loose. 3 days...coffee...connect and meet. Hope it works OP. You might set a trend in change of views on the matter...
