Think im having run of bad luck on fab from surprise 3d person or men coming far too easy or making plans then cancelling. Hoping its just a phase? Have had amazing meets in the past .. just asking myself is it worth the bother anymore??

I know where you're coming from... Have even had to drop a couple of regular meets in the past few months because they started getting complacent and either cancelling plans at short notice or not turning up and texting later with a lame excuse.

Guys need to remember that in order to set make time to meet them, we've probably put other commitments and possibly other meets off, and also (if other girls are anything like me), put considerable expense and effort into preparing for a meet. Its not just a matter of a quick shower and sticking on a pair of clean undies for us girls Its all about mutual respect guys... If you don't give it to us, don't expect to get invited back

Sorry to hear you have been messed about OP.

It seems to have become a game on here not just on the forums but across the whole site.

The people who didn't turn up may have done you a big favour. If they treat you and others with such disrespect over even turning up how much worse may it have been if they had indeed shown up and been equally rude self obsessed and lacking in any form of care over the meet with you itself.

I know this doesn't excuse their appalling behaviour but there are still others here who do not abuse others.

I hope next time...and hope their is a next time for you...that you find someone who deserves your time and attention.

It happens to us all I think! Happened to me one time where I had the hotel booked and paid for and got a text from the lady in question that she couldn't show with a lame excuse. Anyhow, went on into the hotel, what else could I do? Messaged a few nearby ladies on the very (very) slim chance they'd like to meet. When I messaged them I said that I had just been stood up and hey presto one of the ladies I messaged had just been stood up too literally minutes before. Anyhow a quick phone to get the niceties out of the way....followed by a drink or two and we ended dancing the night away albeit horizontally!

Sometimes the cloud has a silver lining!

Don't want to be going back and forth but I did pay for dinner. She did offer but I declined her offer and paid for it. Not a big deal but if I ask to meet someone for a date, I would always for the date, be it coffee, dinner, overnight or weekend away, which I've had several of, I'd always pay. Just a thing i do, not a 'big I am' or being 'cool' but just what I do. I also drove up from Dublin to meet her at Jonesboro too. Wasn't a big deal but if I want to meet someone, I've got to make the effort to get them or half way.
