"Ok so I'm a guy who is a tad ok very insecure about his weight. I've been putting things in place about joining the gym and doing something about it. I've tried so many times and I just don't have the will power to do it I was wondering if anyone wanted to get involved with me. Not a gym buddy or fab buddy just like a group chat type thing to keep me motivated and eachother. Even writing this I can hear Jean Claude van damme talking about the coors light and hob nobs holy good fuck hob nobs. Help me " Ha ha to check your profile be greeted by a cock lol.

"Hi OP. There has been quite a bit of feedback on this thread, some good, some bad. The biggest problem ordinary people have is trying to filter all the information that's out there in order to find the best bits that will help them reach their goals. There is one way and one way only to lose fat. That is to create a calorie deficit. Each person's caloric needs are unique and individual to the person. If you were my client, In order to calculate your caloric needs and design a meal plan I would need you to fill out a questionnaire. If you think you might be interested feel free to PM me for more info. If not, best of luck with your goal(s). The best way to achieve a goal is to write it down and look at it every day. The people who fall off the wagon most often are people who become disconnected from their goals! " Agree with this lad. He's obviously a professional too. I'm a personal trainer and run my own business. Do seek a professionals help. Either one of us will know what programmes will best suit your needs. There is no one size fits all plan for everyone. Don't get me wrong people are giving good and some bad bits of advice. It's not their fault and I know they mean well. The problem is social media has snippets of diet plans and exercise regimes. They never show you the full picture. People then take those snippets and cut them down again and pass it on. If you need any info I'll be glad to help.

Help me " I never wish to come across as rude or crude but the bottom line of any addiction is the fact that you really must want to kick that habit. By the wording of your post you appear articulate and most likely you have basic common sense. Eating less or if possible none of the 'wrong'things and a little bit of exercise will do wonders for you. People tend to overthink when it comes to a big change in life but it does come down to getting into better habits. Good luck with it,as soon as you get a bit of momentum you'll be flying it

" PT here aswel, great advice from these 2 posts. Only thing i would add to this is that "cant stick to it" "keep failing" and statements like these are part of the problem. All the advice, diets, training routines, etc. Etc. Are no good to you until you own your own shit. No PT or any program, diet etc will work if you dont. Not meaning to sound negative, but the only person who can achieve your goals....is you. And YOU CAN !!! Good luck with it op

"Don't go for fad diets, they work but you just gain it all again. Plus reducing your calories by too much isn't healthy. Make small changes and you'll get their gradually. Change dairy products to low fat alternatives and change bread, pasta and rice to wholemeal/brown. Cut out takeaways and junk. Slimming world is a great place to start and lots of men join.
