As its Sunday evening the local pub here always has a band on. Got me thinking,with beer on board whats that one trad song that gets your pints and arms in the air and has you belting it out like your part of the wolfe tones?? You know the one when you look around and all your friends are doing the exact same and this has now gone from an ordinary evening out to full on, destination fucked session!!

Personal favorites the Wild rover (everyone knows when to clap in the middle of the song) and Rocky road to Dublin.

The song from wind that shakes the barley is Óró sé do bheatha abhaile Sinead O'Connor does a decent version of it believe it or not.

Anything by The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem.. The little beggar an, the jolly tinker, the patriot game by Liam Clancy...pretty much anything but Luke Kelly. Ah there are so many other fine voices as well. This is too difficult!

Kathleen was one of a kind when it came to singing. I have a gra for Rebel songs and what they represent of our past. My taste in music may not be to another persons liking but shur live and let live i spose?
