Lamb would be traditional easier fare in our household,but I do see more and more retailers selling turkey for easter

If you slice a few cloves of garlic and then insert them into slits you make in the lamb with a knife before roasting , the garlic flavour permiates the lamb while cooking . Delicious . That and some fresh Rosemary

As a butcher I can tell you lamb is very popular at Easter but there is still a few who will will turkey every holiday. Lamb is class. No herbs or shit. Straight up leg of lamb roasted

Never slice slits into red meat if roasting it lets all the juices out and will dry up your meat. Tie butchers twine around it out garlic under it and sprigs of Rosemary on top salt and pepper and a dash of red wine over it. Save juices for gravy.

That's how I roast my famous.
