my general view is why marry when in a happy relationship. what will it change? it's a piece of paper. I know alot of women say it's the biggest happiest day of their lives

Yea, i would have married,

But with the right person

Got proper shafted in my divorce

Angry at the time,but not about the divorce,just about getting cleaned out!!

Two friends both in long term relationships one over 7 yrs the other nearly 10. Got married before first anniversary split up...makes you wonder

It's tradition, celebration of two people loving each other etcetera but most of all an institution. Nothing wrong with it and nothing wrong with celebrating. it automatically regulates some legal issues and if you get divorced it might protect you or it might fuck you. Anyway what would I know I never was married and never will be.

Try it out and you will know if you're curious.

I was married at 22 and seperated, heartbroken and devastated at 33. 7 years later I'm happy and have two amazing kids and no longer feel bitter towards my ex wife.

Would I do it again? The answer is in a heartbeat, because I had 15 amazing years with someone I loved more than life who gave me my babies and some brilliant memories which out weigh the few terrible years I had after the seperation.

I suppose for me marriage was the public declaration of love I had for my ex. I know now marriage is no guarantee of everlasting happiness but I married with the intention of it being for life and simply because I wanted to marry her.

Research indicates that the best outcome is in marriages which are childfree by choice. Marital happiness tends to dip significantly after the first child is born, and drops further with subsequent children.

Would I marry again? Yes, but there's no danger of having kids at this stage

Fucked up my first marriage, being to young for the responsibilities this kind of commitment does include

13 years later I a married a witty, beautiful Irish lass, who gave me 4 beautiful kids . Of course we had ups and downs and having kids is a big temptation for the spouses to evolve from soul mates to room mates .

So yes, I would do it again and when our kids are at that point we will encourage them

With himself since I was 21, didn't get married until 3 years ago, wouldn't change a thing, he is the best person in the world and we bring out the best in each other. Only regret the things you haven't done, not the things you have. Everything happens for a reason

Wouldn't change a thing , I'm lucky enough to be married to my best friend so things were never going to change after we got married . Only change was I finally have the same second name as the kids

I feel like I've lived several lives...all very different.

All very exciting.....in their own ways...
