How long are you single?

Me, I'm single 4 years. Dated on/off but nothing has stuck for one reason or another.

Is a dating gap like an employment gap?

I've recently began trying my luck at Internet dating, again, and it seems to me lately like it is.

Guys want to know why I'm single so long, what have I been doing etc. Feels like I'm being grilled for taking time off relationships

Beginning to feel like the longer I'm single the less chance I have of getting into a relationship lol

Any other singles experience this?

I've been happily single for nearly 6 years. It suits me at the minute.

Will I be single forever? Who knows

Just over 3 years and loving it. Well most of the time. Sometimes I miss not having that special someone.

Just since December 1st 2016, 4 weeks before my first christmas as a dad. Utterly heartbreaking that a woman I adored no longer saw a future for us as a couple even though our daughter was just 11 months old. Seeing her on weekends now is not how it was meant to be.

I'm single now for 6 years and loving it. I live my own life do my own thing and go at my own pace. A woman would need to be spectacular to make me want to change that. Living alone so long I don't think I would be able to co habitate anymore. Happy out

To preface this, I'm single.

Do people here not think to the future for when they are old and grey and bit less fab?

Single and loving it can only last so long?

That's similar to what I'm trying to ask.

For me being single has lasted long enough and I'm trying to be proactive in seeking a relationship.

What I'm asking is, do people find that the longer they're single, the harder it is to find a relationship?

For me yes. The longer ive been single, Ive become used to doing my own thing and answering to nobody.Ive a busy life anyway so trying to find time for a relationship isnt up at the top of my priorites at the moment.

Dont ye think that life has a peculiar way of surprise at times and when you stop looking, it just happens?

I cant imagine sharing my bed on a permanent basis but i live in hope that one day my mind will change.

Maybe those guys are just making conversation, it just so happens they are tapping into your own fears about remaining single now you no longer want to be?

It didn't feel the same so it was a case of ending the relationships..... Not that your opinion is of any consequence either way but thanks for sharing your thoughts on it
